Who we are
Bristol MusicSpace provides a community-based music therapy service for children and adults in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our team of state-registered music therapists is currently working with around 400 people each week at our centre in Bristol and at our bases in Gloucester and Bath. We also run an outreach service for those people who are unable to travel to us, in a wide range of other settings.
Bristol MusicSpace provides:

Who do we work with? We work with children and adults who have:
• Autism
• Cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities
• Challenging behaviour
• Communication problems
• Dementia
• Emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
• Global developmental delay
• Learning difficulties
• Life limiting conditions
• Mental health issues
• Neurological conditions
• Sensory impairment
• Speech and language delay
We also work with individuals who wish to use music therapy for personal development to gain insight into themselves and their ways of relating to others.
We see people for music therapy at our centre in Bristol and at our bases in Gloucester and Bath. We also provide an outreach service throughout Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire, working in a range of settings including:
• Assessment centres
• Family centres
• Pre-school Opportunity Groups
• Bristol’s Children’s Hospital
• Special schools
• Units attached to mainstream schools
• Day centres
• Residential homes
