MusicSpace in Bristol
The Bristol team provides individual and group music therapy sessions at our centre in Southville, which has three well-equipped therapy rooms and viewing facilities.
We work with people of all ages including children and young people referred by one of the local NHS Trusts, education authorities, or by parents/carers or other agencies. These include children and young people on the autistic spectrum, those with a physical disability, developmental delay, emotional and behavioural difficulties and sensory impairment.
We also work with young people who are on the exclusion register or who are outside of the education system, adults with learning difficulties, clients with mental health issues or a head injury and adults who wish to use music therapy for personal development to gain insight into themselves and their ways of relating to others.
People attend weekly sessions at our centre from Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
We also provide an outreach service in the community working at Bristol’s Children’s Hospital, special schools, and resource bases attached to mainstream schools in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
